The Book of Tomorrows began with an idea I had for a short story set in a future where everybody is gay. Now what I really wanted to do was write something that would be so controversial I just knew it would piss off certain Conservative, Right-Wing, ignorant fools (Sara Palin, Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, just to name a few) as payback for the hypocrisy of truth they have been spewing out to a bunch of gullible Manchurian Candidates manipulated into becoming a Jackass Nation.
And after all, revenge is a dish best served coldly well-written.
My first novel, a fictionalized dramatization of my life called When You See After Dark, now serves as a prequel to The Book of Tomorrows, a Hobbit to my Lord of the Rings, if you will.
Forever Tomorrow: Volume One of The Book of Tomorrows is readable as its own separate trilogy that the whole family can enjoy, while Volumes Two and Three—I, Messiah and The Prophet Warrior, respectively—tell much darker stories more mature readers can one day pass down to their children when old enough.
Now, I’ve always known I was different from everyone else, not better, just different, unique even. Fiercely independent, I never wanted to become a social nomad. I just couldn’t seem to find my place in this world. Unable to fit in with any social click, I came to think of myself as a living-breathing-walking-talking contradiction, a paradox wrapped around an enigma, hidden inside a riddle.
Feeling hopeless and lost, it wasn’t until I discovered the purposeful path my god part had set me on that I realized I had a different fateful destiny. It was something I would have to come to terms with before accepting why life choose me, with the answer one I subconsciously always knew as a voice cried out in my head.
