Hello, this is Alexander Ulysses Thor and welcome to the Hypocrisy of Truth: An Author’s Blog. And as to who the hell I am, I’m The Author of The Book of Tomorrows, an epic saga that begins at the end to tell a distinctly realistic tale of a visionary New America in the year 2190.
Originally conceived as a provocative short story set in a future where the government has to force men and women to have sex because everyone is gay, my contentious, little story grew into an all-encompassing trilogy within a trilogy, where the only sex allowed in the future is strictly for procreation.
An Italian/Irish ex-construction worker from New Jersey, I moved to Los Angles at the turn of the century with a screenplay contract offer for $200,000.00 I just couldn’t refuse. I was never one to carefully plan out anything in my life, (carpe diem), driving across the country in car that had a used engine just put in it, because the old one blew up on the ride home from the junkyard where I just brought it. Burning my credit cards for fuel (and just about everything else), I left without any money in my pockets, a job lined up to pay the bills, or even a place to live once I got there. I don’t know many people who would start their life over when pushing 40, even under the best of circumstances. But I’ve always said that I am definitely not most people.
As to why anyone should give a shit what I have to say, I truly believe The Book of Tomorrows just might turn out to be one of the most important books ever written, and not just because I wrote it. But rather because if we don’t start living smart, we are all going to die stupid. And I don’t know about you, but I for one do not want to be standing in line at the pearly gates behind the guy who just stuck a knife in his toaster.
Knowing how hard it can be to get people to listen to reason, I always like to employ a little sledgehammer subtlety in my writing. I have also come to understand that even though you may not be able to get a mule to drink the water you led him to, once you got him there, you can always waterboard the motherfucker.
Sometimes it’s the only way to start a conversation, especially ones people need to have, but are reluctant to discuss. Not me, and I’m just getting started. So stayed tuned for more insightful blog topics exposing the hypocrisy of truth spreading out of this Disinformation Age we live in. This has been Alexander Ulysses Thor with an Author’s Blog. Thank you for listening. I am just trying to start the conversation. You can follow me on Facebook, Twitter, You-Tube, and by logging on my website at http://www.thebookoftomorrows.com.
Best Creative Wishes to you all.
